There are many surfaces that can be stripped & waxed such as VCT tile and Vinyl flooring. These types of floor coverings are frequently found in medical offices, grocery stores, commercial buildings, day cares & churches. These floor coverings are a hard durable surface made to withstand high traffic and last for years with proper maintenance.
Proper maintenance should include stripping & waxing of the floors at least yearly and more often depending  on the amount of traffic.
Stripping a floor involves using a chemical stripping agent that is applied to the floor to remove all of the old wax. Next, a disinfectant neutral cleaner is applied to the surface to prepare the floor for the waxing. Finally, 3 to 4 coats of wax are applied.
